Curriculum OverviewThe following section is a Curriculum Overview. Eagle Christian College offers a core of training in Bible and Holy Spirit-filled living. In addition, there are choices of various ministry teams such as: Helps Ministry, Outreach, Apostles, Leaders, Women in Ministry, Teachers, Minstrels, Business, Prophetic, Intercessors, Counseling, and Family Living. The core courses serve as a foundation for living. Bible, Character (Christ in me), Holy Spirit awareness, and Relationships are the core. The ministry teams are built primarily from the gifts of Romans 12:6-8. Preparation for leadership gifts of apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor and teacher (see Ephesians 4:11) are also provided. We offer these courses. They may be taken one at a time for general learning, or they may be taken to progress toward a certificate or diploma. Mentors are available in each area of gifting and ministry to enable you to study the courses on your own in an accountable fashion.
Thirteen Majors: to Orient, Bring Fruitfulness, Excellence and ReproduceThese are suggested Eagle-Lion courses to help build quality people on teams (Life Groups) in each of these areas. Our purpose is to help equip Jesus’ people as they function on Ministry Teams. Please note we use the terms Life Groups, Ministry Teams, and Spiritual Families interchangeably. We mean the same thing with each term. Please register for each course. Then you will receive instructions from the course syllabi for completing the equipping for that particular class. Please see the Course Descriptions listed later for more details and more equipping options.
Accelerated Schools Our Strategy On the first weekend of each month we meet for orientation training. This includes several opportunities to observe prophecy in action. More things are caught than taught. There are also activations or lab experiences in apostolic activations each month. During the following month each student has academic studies to complete. This is a part of the apostolic mentoring process. Some students will take this training more than once in order to grow in God. School of the Apostles (SOA) is an opportunity for God fearing “goers” to be equipped in apostolic graces by apostolic leaders. This is not just for apostles only! Potential students should evaluate this opportunity by checking with their closer friends and leaders to discuss their readiness before enrolling in SOA. Although there are not prerequisites for SOA, there are preliminary Eagle Christian College courses that will help the student and may be studied before SOA or during SOA under a personal ECC mentor. It is highly recommended you that take at least CC304 Ministering Spiritual Gifts” The other courses included are as follows: CC101 Bible Study using the “Come and Dine” text, S703 Seven Habits using the Christian workbook written by Dr. John Watson, CC207 The Ten M’s, CC200 Eagle Life, CC745 One Thing, V450 The Blessing, and CC452 Healing the Broken Hearted (or CC451 Restoring the Foundations). The lessons build on each other each month with continuing opportunities to apply the graces imparted the previous month’s lessons. The apostolic graces for breakthrough are explained by the APOSTLES acronym. A is for Jesus’ Authority. P is for Power- the Dunamis energy of the Holy Spirit -to release signs, wonders and miracles. O is for Order. This includes laying foundations and establishing personal and corporate destiny. S is being Sent. God’s word, will and way are established. T is for Lamad Teaching by spiritual fathers and mothers. L is for gathering and equipping Leaders. E is for Expanding the kingdom by Equipping. And S is for Serving and caring. School of Minstrel and School of Ministering Arts to help prophetic people in local churches raise up as prophetic minstrels and ministers for their local churches. Who should participate? Those who are called and gifted in music and/or arts ministry who desire to be trained and refined under the ministry here. The reason we require the pastor’s approval to participate is that we believe in strengthening the local church. We begin at a training level where we expect each person already to have taken “Ministering Spiritual Gifts” (MSG). MSG training is available in many related churches including Marion Christian Center. In School of Prophetic Prayer our vision is to help God’s people in local churches raise up as prophetic intercessors for their local churches. Our curriculum and activations are closely linked to Strategic Prayer Network under Dr. C. Peter and Doris Wagner, Mike & Cindy Jacobs, Chuck Pierce and Barbara Yoder. Who should participate? Those who are called and gifted in prophetic intercession who desire to be trained and refined under the ministry here. Senior Pastor’s approval is required to participate. Plus, we expect each student already to have taken “Ministering Spiritual Gifts” (MSG). In School of Prophets our vision is to help prophetic people in local churches raise up as prophetic ministers for their local churches. Our curriculum and activations are closely linked to Christian International under Dr. Bill Hamon. Who should participate? Those who are called and gifted in prophetic ministry who desire to be trained and refined under the ministry here. And those who desire an on going relationship. Senior Pastor’s approval is required to participate. Plus, we expect each student already to have taken “Ministering Spiritual Gifts” (MSG). |
