VI. Requirements of Senior Pastor - To Endorse This Curriculum as Part of His Lifestyle
We encourage the senior pastor of the church to become the President of the School. We recommend in most cases that he or she appoint a Dean of the School who would have the authority and responsibility of developing the school under his oversight.
We have found that a complete understanding of Eagle-Lion’s philosophy, as well as the visible support by the senior pastor of the church-centered equipping school is a critical ingredient to the success of the equipping school. Therefore, to help insure your desire for a strong and healthy school, we recommend that the senior pastor thoroughly acquaint himself with the program and curriculum through several means. One, he may want to meet and spend a day with the leadership of Eagle-Lion Institute. Another avenue is to invite one of the traveling ministries of Eagle-Lion to come to your church to spend a couple of days with your church’s leadership. HUB locations for equipping leaders are available at various locations. These are for equipping plus explaining the Eagle-Lion Institute.
We also recommend that the senior pastor teach some classes in his related equipping school, so as to maintain a “hands on” feel for what is happening. This will bring with it a commitment to continually support the equipping school as the equipping arm of their church.
