Eagle-Lion Equipping ModelsThe delivery models, methods, or systems to equip ones by delivering our message will vary. These changes in wineskins require that we be sensitive to God’s timing. Our message in Jesus will grow as we experience God’s glory (2 Corinthians 3:18) on the cutting edge. Our delivery methods will also change. Just as in the USA mail, the delivery change from Pony Express to e-mail was massive so also must we adjust to the revelations of the methods of the Holy Spirit today. Change is necessary and is required. Can you change? Key principles will always remain the same. Father God’s purpose and plans remain firm! Jesus will always be the focal point. The Holy Spirit’s presence and power will always be our energy and direction. Life will always be about relationships - loving God and loving people. Faith, hope and love will always be the basics of these relationships. Spiritual families including fathers and mothers, brothers and sisters, will always be the basic equipping model! Individual destiny in the overall family of God will be our mission as we seek to be obedient to God’s voice. God is good; the devil is bad. There are battles to be won realizing the overall main war has already been won in Jesus! In relating to our God, the creative tension of the balance between the fear of God and the care of God leads us. Local churches will be the “pillar and foundation of the truth.” Here are some of the delivery models we are using to communicate the message of our curriculum in the several hundred courses: 1. Preparing ones to serve in LOCAL CHURCHES: To prepare ones for Christian service, mentors (these are coaches - spiritual fathers or mothers) equip others. One on one equipping is encouraged. Mentors also lead small groups for relationship and equipping. The first mentor must be the local church pastor followed by ones that he or she releases as spiritual fathers or mothers. These equipping times can be held any time that works for the people of the local church including Sunday school, Sunday evening, off campus locations, midweek, or weekends. Each local church is called to be a hospital - a place to be healed body, soul and spirit - and an equipping school. We provide a structured growing curriculum of books and videos for the mentor’s use. These are available and proven tools that have been tried and tested at Marion Christian Center (we call it our Marion laboratory) and related churches. 2. Preparing ones to serve through HUBS: A local church can develop their equipping ministry into a regional hub like the Antioch church did in Acts 11 and 13. Then they would provide conferences and seminars at various times and ways for equipping for other churches. Examples are: a. Ministry Training College at the CI Family Church in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida b. Eagle Christian College at Marion Christian Center in Marion, Ohio c. And many churches in various locations 3. Further assistance for those that are ALREADY SERVING. We provide regional Hubs at Antioch churches where there are for one and two day equipping events for existing church leaders and growing potential leaders (often referred to as fathers and mothers in our literature). 4. Preparing to serve and inservice through CONFERENCES – Recommended conferences and seminars where mentors and their people can receive equipping and training units include conferences at Christian International, Marion Christian Center, Wagner Leadership Institute, plus our related Christian International churches and Network of Christian Churches. Plus others may be added by special written arrangements by Dr. John Watson. 5. Preparing to serve and inservice: 80% of the almost 160 courses are available through DISTANCE LEARNING where equipping can be done under a Mentor through communication with Eagle-Lion in Marion, Ohio. Even when doing distance learning, please also have a local church mentor to relate to! 6. Preparing to serve and inservice through TRANSLOCAL FACULTY: We have a growing list of approved faculty to come to your location to teach and equip in the four core areas. Ministering Spiritual Gifts (MSG) is a pivot core course for our entire curriculum. Each faculty member is also released to equip in certain areas of the thirteen majors now available. A growing list of videos for the curriculum will be available to help in equipping. 7. SCHOOLS of Apostolic and Prophetic NURTURE - these are times of nurture with various Eagle-Lion leaders in a small group setting (thirty or less). These are for more advanced leaders.
