Our Vision Music and the creative arts have a powerful place in the kingdom of God. In many places around the earth communities are being transformed by Jesus and His people! The minstrels have been important in this process! When Elisha needed to sense the word of the Lord, he called out "bring me a minstrel." 2 Kings 3:15 Today as ones yearn for community transformation, this cry is again heard "bring me a minstrel." The curriculum is made available as a tool to equip the minstrels of today! Many minstrels who are powerful in spirit will arise today! This curriculum is dedicated to help some of these to arise. Who should participate? Those who are called and gifted in prophetic music ministry who desire to be trained and refined under our ministry. And those who desire an on going relationship. The reason we require the pastor’s approval to participate is that we believe in strengthening the local church. We begin at a training level where we expect each person to have already taken "Ministering Spiritual Gifts" (MSG). MSG training is available in many related churches including Marion Christian Center. Our Strategy On the first weekend of each month we meet for orientation training. This includes several opportunities to observe prophetic music ministry in action. More things are caught than taught. There are also activations or lab experiences in prophetic music activations each month. During the following month each student has academic studies to complete. This is a part of the prophetic music mentoring process. Some students will take this training more than once in order to grow in God. Much time will be utilized doing activations (laboratory). Included in this is the Prophetic Presbytery ministry in the Friday Evening School of the Holy Spirit. Observation and application will be done while enrolled in the school. The student must have already taken the Ministering Spiritual Gifts (MSG) class before enrolling in School of the Minstrel. SESSIONS: Friday , 6:00-6:15 PM Registration, 6:30 PM Orientation Friday 7 PM- School of the Holy Spirit Saturday 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM
COST: Preregistration is Required Advance Registration on or before: TBA - $195.00 Registration after: TBA - $245.00 MANUALS AND TEXTBOOKS NOT INCLUDED IN COST After advance registration date contact office for availability - cost is $245.00 Students must have already taken the Ministering Spiritual Gifts (MSG) class before enrolling in School of the Minstrel. Contact office for scheduled dates. Advanced studies that can complement and expand the SOM curriculum include these Eagle College options: M903 David’s Tabernacle, M904 Bible & Music, M905 Fundamentals in Music 1, M907 Worship Leading, MI908 Music & Arts and M915 Ministering Arts. These can be studied under ECC mentors. See the ECC office to formally register. A certificate is awarded for successfully completing SOM. Also progressive associate, bachelor, masters and doctoral diploma are awarded as the student progresses through these courses plus others. (These are non-Board of Regents academic programs.)
